clyqr vs GuestPix
$39 against $49, and a clock that starts differently
GuestPix is the biggest name in this category and it is a good product. It also costs $10 more for a wedding, and its upload window starts counting on your event date.
Price. GuestPix weddings are $49, $89 and $119. Everything is included at each price, so there are no feature traps to warn you about. clyqr is $39, and $99 for three albums where their bundle of three is $119.
The upload window. At $49 GuestPix gives you three months of uploads, counted from your event date. clyqr closes uploads on inactivity instead, thirty days after the last one, so an album people are still adding to stays open however long that takes. Our originals do run a fixed year, from the day you buy rather than the day of the event.
Free plans. Theirs is 50 photos with a 30 day upload window. Ours is 5 GB, roughly 1,300 photos at full size, which is a real album rather than a taste of one.
What GuestPix does better. Ten languages for hosts and guests, where we have one. A written and video guestbook, digital invitations with RSVPs, seating and song requests, and 180 print templates. If you want one thing to run the whole wedding rather than a photo gallery, that is a fair reason to pick them.
What we do that they do not. Photos sit in the order they happened, read from the time inside each file, with a second view that groups them by who took them. Everywhere else in this category, including GuestPix, the gallery is upload order.
