clyqr

Terms of Service

Effective August 5, 2026

These terms govern your use of clyqr, operated by Matuod Labs LLC (“we,” “us”). By creating an album, uploading a photo, or otherwise using clyqr, you agree to them.

What clyqr is

clyqr lets a host create a shared photo album, share a link or QR code, and let guests upload photos and videos without an account. Hosts can then view, organize, and export what’s uploaded.

Accounts

Only hosts need an account, created with a valid email address via a passwordless sign-in link. You’re responsible for anything that happens under your account, and for keeping access to your email secure since it’s how we verify you.

Guests don’t need an account — just a display name, which does not need to be your real name.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload. By uploading a photo or video, you grant clyqr a license to store, process (e.g., extracting timestamp/location metadata, generating thumbnails), and display it to the host and other people with access to that album, for as long as it stays in the album. This license ends when the photo is deleted (host deletion, guest undo, or automatic retention).

Hosts are responsible for whom they invite into an album and what gallery access they grant. If you upload a photo of someone else, you’re confirming you have their OK to share it in that album.

Acceptable use

Don’t use clyqr to upload or share:

  • Content that’s illegal, including any sexual content involving minors
  • Content you don’t have the right to share, or that violates someone else’s privacy
  • Malware, or anything intended to disrupt or abuse the service (including attempts to bypass rate limits, passcodes, or storage caps)

Content moderation

Anyone with access to a gallery, including guests, can report a photo. The host reviews reports and decides what to do — dismiss, delete, or, for content that appears to be child sexual abuse material, flag it as “This may be illegal.” That flag immediately hides the photo from the album and starts a legally required preservation hold; we may report it to NCMEC’s CyberTipline. We don’t proactively scan uploads — moderation is report-driven.

We can remove content or suspend/terminate an account that violates these terms, especially anything involving apparent CSAM, without prior notice.

Buying albums

Albums are bought individually, as one-time payments through Stripe, singly or in packs of three or ten. There is no subscription and nothing renews. A credit is used when you create a paid album or apply one to an album you already have, and credits do not expire.

A paid album keeps its full-size original files for one year from the day it is created. After that the originals are archived and the gallery keeps working at viewing resolution. Not paying, or letting that year lapse, does not delete an album.

To cancel or ask about billing, email support@clyqr.com — self-serve cancellation is on our roadmap but not live yet.

Storage & deletion

We don’t delete albums for not paying. What lapses is the full-size original files: after 60 days with no new uploads on a free album, and in any case within six months of creating it, or a year on a paid one, the originals are archived and the gallery keeps working at viewing resolution. We email you before that happens. A free album also stops taking new uploads after 30 days with nothing added, and reopening it takes one tap. The only album we remove outright is one nobody has opened at all for two years, and we email you first. See our Privacy Policy for the full retention schedule, including the exception for content under a legal preservation hold.

No warranty

clyqr is provided “as is.” We work to keep your photos safe and available, but we don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it, to the extent allowed by law. Export your photos if you need a guaranteed backup.

Changes

We may update these terms as clyqr changes. We’ll update the effective date above when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
